Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, buttermilk, and sour cream.
  2. Add the lime juice, cilantro, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
  4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust seasonings as needed.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
