Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) Frozen Cold Brew Concentrate (cubed)
- 1 large (approx. 150 g) Frozen Banana (peeled and sliced)
- 2 Pitted Medjool Dates
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) Unsweetened Oat Milk (chilled)
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) Almond Butter (natural, smooth)
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 small pinch (1 g) Fine Sea Salt
- Optional: 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon or Cocoa Powder
Instructions:
- Prep the Liquid Layer: Pour the cold oat milk and vanilla extract into the bottom of the high-speed blender container.
- Add Soft Solids and Sweeteners: Add the pitted Medjool dates, the almond butter, and the pinch of sea salt. If using cocoa powder or cinnamon, add it now.
- Introduce the Frozen Elements: Place the large frozen banana pieces and the pre-frozen cold brew cubes on top of the liquid/soft solids layer. Layering ensures smooth processing.
- Initial Blend (Low Speed): Secure the lid and start blending on a very low speed (or Pulse setting) for 15–20 seconds to crush the ice and frozen fruit into smaller chunks.
- Achieve Creaminess (High Speed): Increase the speed to high. Blend continuously, using the tamper (if available) to push the thick mixture down toward the blades. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and homogenous (30–60 seconds).
- Check and Adjust: Scrape down the sides if necessary. Taste the smoothie and adjust thickness (add a splash more milk) or sweetness (add a tiny drizzle of maple syrup) if required.
- Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass and serve straight away while it is at its coldest and creamiest. Garnish with cocoa powder if desired.
