Ingredients:

  • 12 oz wide egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 lb imitation crab meat, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups fried wonton strips
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook for 2 minutes less than the package directions. Drain and toss with 2 tbsp of butter to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Fold in the mayonnaise, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar until uniform.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, sliced green onions, and chopped imitation crab, ensuring the protein is evenly distributed.
  4. Fold in the cooked noodles and half of the mozzarella cheese until the noodles are fully coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over the surface.
  6. Toss wonton strips with melted butter and garlic powder, then scatter them evenly across the top.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the topping is mahogany gold.
