Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Quality Mayonnaise (full fat)
- 1/4 cup Tomato Ketchup
- 2 Tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish (drained)
- 1 tsp Yellow Mustard
- 1 tsp White Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Fine Sea Salt (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
- Pinch Smoked Paprika (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Base: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, and yellow mustard.
- Whisk and Integrate: Using a whisk or spatula, thoroughly combine the mixture until the color is uniform and streak-free. Ensure the relish is evenly distributed.
- Add Acid and Sweetener: Stir in the white vinegar and granulated sugar. Mix well.
- Season: Introduce the salt, black pepper, and optional smoked paprika. Mix again well.
- Taste Test: Sample the sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed (add a drop more vinegar for punch, or a pinch more sugar if too tart).
- Rest and Marry: Transfer the finished sauce into an airtight container. Refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes, or ideally 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Serve: Just before serving, give the sauce a final stir. It is now ready to use on burgers or as a dipping sauce.
