Ingredients:

  • 5 fl oz (45 ml) Vodka (clear, neutral)
  • 1 fl oz (30 ml) Coffee Liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)
  • 1 fl oz (30 ml) Heavy Cream or Half-and-Half
  • Approx. 3-4 fl oz (90–120 ml) Chilled Cola
  • 6–8 large Ice Cubes
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry (Optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glass: Fill your chosen highball, Collins, or standard tumbler entirely with ice cubes. Ensure the glass is cold to prevent immediate dilution.
  2. Add the Foundation: Pour the measured Vodka (1.5 fl oz / 45 ml) directly over the ice.
  3. Introduce the Coffee Note: Add the measured Coffee Liqueur (1 fl oz / 30 ml) to the glass.
  4. Briefly Combine (Optional): Give the liquid ingredients a very quick and gentle stir (3-4 turns) to marry the spirits.
  5. Add the Cream: Slowly pour the Heavy Cream (1 fl oz / 30 ml) over the top of the spirits. The cream should sit slightly on top or swirl artistically.
  6. Top it Up: Slowly pour the cold Cola down the side of the glass until the glass is nearly full. The mixture will cloud and foam slightly.
  7. Final Presentation: Garnish with a Maraschino cherry or a light dusting of cocoa powder, if desired. Serve immediately.
