Ingredients:
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- 1 oz Sweet Red Vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- 1 Maraschino Cherry
Instructions:
- Place a coupe or Nick and Nora glass in the freezer to chill for at least 5 minutes.
- Combine the rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters in a heavy-bottomed mixing glass.
- Fill the mixing glass 3/4 full with large, solid ice cubes.
- Stir gently with a bar spoon for 30 seconds to achieve proper dilution and chilling without aerating the drink.
- Strain the mixture through a Julep or Hawthorne strainer into the chilled glass.
- Garnish with a high-quality maraschino cherry and serve immediately.
