Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey
  • 1 oz Sweet Red Vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry

Instructions:

  1. Place a coupe or Nick and Nora glass in the freezer to chill for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Combine the rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters in a heavy-bottomed mixing glass.
  3. Fill the mixing glass 3/4 full with large, solid ice cubes.
  4. Stir gently with a bar spoon for 30 seconds to achieve proper dilution and chilling without aerating the drink.
  5. Strain the mixture through a Julep or Hawthorne strainer into the chilled glass.
  6. Garnish with a high-quality maraschino cherry and serve immediately.
