Ingredients:
- 6 medium fresh peaches, halved and pitted (approx. 3 lbs / 1.36 kg)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Instructions:
- Slice the peaches in half and remove the pits. Slice a tiny sliver off the rounded bottom of each half so they sit completely flat in the dish.
- Brush the cut sides of the peach halves lightly with lemon juice to prevent oxidation and maintain color.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt until a smooth, thick paste forms.
- Spoon a generous amount of the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the center of each peach half, spreading it slightly toward the edges.
- Cook using one of the following methods: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes; Grill cut-side down for 4-5 minutes, then flip and add glaze for 3-5 minutes; Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes; or sear in a skillet and deglaze with the sugar mixture.
- Remove from heat and let the peaches rest for 5 minutes to allow the residual heat to thicken the syrup into a glossy glaze.
