Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 oz white chocolate
  • 1 tsp refined coconut oil

Instructions:

  1. Wash 1 lb fresh strawberries under cold water.
  2. Pat every single berry dry with a lint free towel. Note: Any lingering water will cause the chocolate to slide right off.
  3. Let them air dry on the counter for 20 minutes until the skin feels matte.
  4. Place 8 oz semi sweet chocolate and 1 tsp coconut oil in a glass bowl.
  5. Microwave in 20 second bursts, stirring between each.
  6. Stop when the chocolate is silky and mostly melted, letting the residual heat finish the job.
  7. Grasp a strawberry by the green hull or stems.
  8. Submerge the berry into the chocolate until three quarters covered.
  9. Lift and shake gently to let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  10. Place on parchment paper until the chocolate begins to dull.
  11. Melt 2 oz white chocolate using the same 20 second burst method.
  12. Use a spoon to flick thin lines across the set berries.
  13. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes until the shell is hard and snaps.
