Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 cups sparkling water (or club soda)
- Fresh lime wedges, for garnish
- Fresh cherries, for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine pitted cherries, sugar, and water.
- Heat over medium until the mixture simmers, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh lime juice.
- Strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve to remove solids and allow syrup to cool.
- Fill each serving glass with ice cubes.
- Pour 3 tablespoons of the cherry lime syrup over the ice in each glass.
- Top with ½ cup of sparkling water in each glass.
- Gently stir to combine.
- Garnish with lime wedges and fresh cherries.
