Ingredients:
- 5 fl oz (45 ml) Chilled Irish Cream Liqueur (e.g., Baileys)
- 75 fl oz (22 ml) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
Instructions:
- Chill the Components: Ensure both the Irish Cream Liqueur and the shot glass are thoroughly chilled in the freezer or refrigerator for at least 30 minutes prior to preparation.
- Juice the Lime: Freshly squeeze the required amount of lime juice and set it aside. Must use fresh juice for the best chemical reaction.
- Pour the Cream: Carefully pour the 1.5 fl oz (45 ml) of chilled Irish Cream Liqueur into the chilled shot glass.
- Prepare the Lime: Have the measured 0.75 fl oz (22 ml) lime juice ready in a separate vessel (or jigger).
- The Moment of Truth: Just before handing the Cement Truck Shot to the consumer, pour the lime juice directly on top of the cream. You will see the reaction beginning immediately at the interface.
- Immediate Consumption: Instruct the consumer to immediately place the entire shot in their mouth.
- The Swirl: Once the liquid is in the mouth, swirl it vigorously inside the cheek cavity for approximately 3 to 5 seconds. This combines the acid and cream, initiating the full curdling process.
- Down the Hatch: Swallow the mixture in one rapid gulp before the curdled mass completely solidifies.
