Ingredients:

  • 5 fl oz (45 ml) Cream Liqueur (e.g., Baileys), well-chilled
  • 75 fl oz (22.5 ml) Fresh Lime Juice, well-chilled

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Components: Ensure both the cream liqueur and the fresh lime juice are thoroughly chilled—this improves the final textural outcome and general palatability.
  2. Measure the Lime: Pour the measured lime juice (0.75 fl oz) into the first shot glass.
  3. Measure the Cream: Pour the measured cream liqueur (1.5 fl oz) into the second shot glass. Keep the two liquids completely separate until the moment of consumption.
  4. Initiate the Sequence: Instruct the consumer to quickly drink all of the lime juice first, ensuring it coats the entire mouth. Do not swallow immediately.
  5. Add the Cream: Immediately after ingesting the lime juice, quickly pour the cream liqueur into the mouth.
  6. The Cement Mixer Action: Close the mouth and vigorously swish the two liquids together, using a rapid, cheek-puckering motion. The curdling reaction should be felt within 3–5 seconds.
  7. Swallow Swiftly: Swallow the resulting thickened mixture quickly. Do not linger, as the texture changes rapidly and dramatically.
