Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to ensure the marinade adheres.
  2. In a bowl or Ziploc bag, whisk together the oil, vinegar, sugar, and spices. Add the chicken, ensuring every inch is coated evenly.
  3. Let the chicken marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the chicken on the grates and sear for 5–7 minutes per side, allowing the meat to release naturally from the grate.
  5. Use a meat thermometer to ensure breasts reach 160°F (71°C) or thighs reach 175°F (79°C).
  6. Transfer meat to a plate and tent loosely with foil, resting for 5–10 minutes before serving.
