Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of bread (e.g., sourdough, Italian, or white)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil (59 ml)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (1.5 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (0.5 g)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (237 ml)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (225 g)
  • Optional toppings: pepperoni slices, cooked sausage, sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, red onion

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly toast bread slices if desired (optional).
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush or spoon garlic oil mixture evenly over one side of each bread slice.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the oiled side of each bread slice.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese (or cheese blend) generously over the sauce on each slice.
  6. Arrange your desired toppings evenly over the cheese.
  7. Place bread pizzas on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a minute or two before serving. Watch out, it's hot!
  9. Slice and serve
