Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bread (e.g., sourdough, Italian, or white)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil (59 ml)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (1.5 g)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5 g)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (0.5 g)
- 1 cup pizza sauce (237 ml)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (225 g)
- Optional toppings: pepperoni slices, cooked sausage, sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, red onion
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly toast bread slices if desired (optional).
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Brush or spoon garlic oil mixture evenly over one side of each bread slice.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the oiled side of each bread slice.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese (or cheese blend) generously over the sauce on each slice.
- Arrange your desired toppings evenly over the cheese.
- Place bread pizzas on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown.
- Let cool for a minute or two before serving. Watch out, it's hot!
- Slice and serve
