Ingredients:
- 3 Meyer lemons, juiced (about ¾ cup or 180 mL)
- 2 cups (480 mL) cold water
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 2 cups (about 300 g) ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (optional garnish)
- Meyer lemon slices (optional garnish)
Instructions:
- Wash and dry the lemons. Zest one lemon if desired for added flavor.
- Cut the lemons in half and juice them, discarding any seeds.
- In a blender, combine the Meyer lemon juice, cold water, and granulated sugar. Blend until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add ice cubes to the blender and blend until smooth and slush-like in texture.
- Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired, adding more sugar or lemon juice if necessary.
- Pour the slushie into glasses and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves.
