Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 ripe banana (approximately 120g), peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup (240ml) low-fat yogurt (plain or strawberry-flavored)
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Additional sliced strawberries for garnish
  • A few banana slices for garnish
  • Edible flowers or sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions:

  1. Hull and halve the strawberries and peel and slice the banana.
  2. In the blender, combine strawberries, banana, yogurt, milk, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or syrup, then blend again briefly to mix.
  4. Pour the smoothie into serving glasses and garnish with additional strawberry slices, banana slices, and optional edible flowers or sprinkles.
