Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp sea salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 cup low-sugar BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound the thickest parts until the entire breast is an even 1-inch thickness. Pat the meat bone-dry with paper towels.
- Rub the chicken with apple cider vinegar, then coat evenly on all sides with the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Place the chicken in a 9x13 inch ceramic or glass baking dish. Roast in the center rack for 12–15 minutes.
- Remove the dish from the oven and brush a generous layer of low-sugar BBQ sauce over each breast. Return to the oven for 5 minutes.
- Turn the oven to Broil for the final 2–3 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and mahogany in color. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F before removing.
