Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Oreos until evenly distributed.
  7. Cover the mixture and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to enhance flavors and improve cookie texture.
  8. Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
