- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs (e.g., oregano, basil)
- Extra melted butter for brushing (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Fold in the mozzarella cheese until mixed.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or lightly grease it).
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and use a rolling pin to roll it into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use a pizza cutter or knife to slice the dough into strips (about 1 inch wide).
- Brush the top with melted butter (if using), then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and dried herbs.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dip.
