Ingredients:

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes (about 1 pound / 450g total), scrubbed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25g)
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (1.25g)
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon paprika (1.25g)

Instructions:

  1. Wash, peel (optional), and cut the sweet potatoes into uniform 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional spices. Ensure the potatoes are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the sweet potato cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring there's some space between the pieces for even cooking. You may need to cook in batches depending on your air fryer's capacity.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the sweet potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork and slightly caramelized on the edges.
  5. Remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer and serve immediately.
