Ingredients:
- 2 medium russet potatoes (approx. 8-10 ounces each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- ½ teaspoon sea salt (2.5 ml)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)
- Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or any other spice you enjoy (to taste)
Instructions:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the potatoes. This is crucial for a crispy skin!
- Using a fork, poke holes all over each potato. This prevents them from exploding in the air fryer.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other desired spices.
- Brush the seasoned oil mixture all over the potatoes, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 40-50 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- The potatoes are done when they are easily pierced with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 210°F (99°C). If not quite done, continue cooking in 5-minute increments until they reach the desired tenderness.
- Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer. Let them cool slightly before cutting them open and adding your favorite toppings.
