Ingredients:

  • 2 medium russet potatoes (approx. 8-10 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt (2.5 ml)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)
  • Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or any other spice you enjoy (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the potatoes. This is crucial for a crispy skin!
  2. Using a fork, poke holes all over each potato. This prevents them from exploding in the air fryer.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other desired spices.
  4. Brush the seasoned oil mixture all over the potatoes, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 40-50 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. The potatoes are done when they are easily pierced with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 210°F (99°C). If not quite done, continue cooking in 5-minute increments until they reach the desired tenderness.
  7. Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer. Let them cool slightly before cutting them open and adding your favorite toppings.
