Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp High-quality Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 2 cups Creamy Plant-Based Milk (Oat or Cashew recommended)
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 tbsp Vegan Chocolate Chips
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, whisk together the cocoa powder, maple syrup, sea salt, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons of the plant milk. Whisk vigorously until a thick, smooth slurry/paste forms without lumps.
- Slowly pour in the remaining plant milk while whisking constantly. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Heat the mixture, whisking in a figure-eight motion, until the liquid begins to steam and small bubbles form around the edges (approximately 160°F). Do not let it reach a rolling boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and vegan chocolate chips. Whisk one final time until the chips are completely melted and a light froth forms on the surface.
